When you meet Danielle, you’ll be met with her curious, compassionate, and approachable nature. Danielle Figueroa, an MCT therapist studying at Thomas Jefferson University is a dedicated professional specializing in trauma therapy. Her expertise extends to working with children, teenagers, and adults, covering areas such as trauma, play therapy, women's health, family systems, anxiety, depression, adolescent mental health, career development, and intimate relationships.

Danielle employs a holistic and creative approach to help clients achieve a balance of body, mind, and spirit. Utilizing person-centered and strengths-based methods, she promotes self-care and well-being. Mindfulness-based skills, such as breathwork, guided meditation, and body awareness, are integral components of her therapeutic approach.

  • Incorporating interventions like cognitive-behavioral therapy, relational cultural theory, and emotionally focused therapy, Danielle strives to create a supportive space for individuals on their journey to healing and self-discovery. She firmly believes that seeking counseling is a testament to one's strength and commitment to personal well-being and growth.

Danielle's path into therapy was catalyzed by her own self-healing journey, where she experienced the transformative impact of support and guidance. With a decade of experience working for local nonprofits in Lancaster County, she served diverse and underserved populations. In her most recent role as a senior leader in development and communications for a science-based addiction prevention organization, Danielle spearheaded the Mental Health Moments campaign in collaboration with WGAL. This 12-month initiative focused on providing education, awareness, and resources on addiction prevention, aiming to destigmatize conversations around addiction within the community. Danielle takes pride in assembling a team of community stakeholders dedicated to addressing timely and imperative issues affecting the community.

Danielle partners with her clients to help them meet their goals with a collaborative treatment approach. When she meets with her clients, she appreciates learning about their strengths and how she can incorporate them into treatment. She believes that an attachment focused approach to therapy can help people move in the direction they want to go. She welcomes new clients to call for a phone consultation to see if it’s the right therapeutic fit.

Danielle finds joy in exploring trying new dishes, particularly in the realm of plant-based cuisine. Her personal interests also include practicing yoga for its mental and physical health benefits and taking leisurely walks in nature with her husband and canine companion, Koda.
