MEET LEA:

Lea is a compassionate and dedicated therapist with a deep understanding of the importance of safe connections in promoting mental health and well-being. Lea welcomes individuals, couples and families in her therapy room who are looking to explore their inner world and heal from past experiences so they can thrive in their lives.

From a young age, Lea aspired to become a therapist after discovering the transformative power of healing within therapeutic relationships. Her motivation lies in providing a safe, accepting space for clients to share their stories and experience personal growth. Lea's areas of specialty include trauma and PTSD, attachment, grief, adoption, relationship concerns, spirituality, parenting, sexual concerns and women's mental health.

Lea is fully trained in EMDR trauma therapy and feels privileged to partner with her clients to heal the parts of themselves wounded by past events and relationships. As a trauma therapist, Lea has come to understand how cultural influences, oppressive systems and traumatic experiences can lead to disembodiment. In her work, she encourages clients to cultivate healthy, whole connections between the mind and body through mindfulness, parts work, and embodiment practices.

  • Lea has an impressive background as an adoption and post permanency caseworker, having served families in the Central Pennsylvania community for 12 years. During this time, she learned how to support couples and families impacted by trauma and related relational and mental health difficulties. She developed an expertise in working with unique family systems, tackling concerns related to race, disability, open adoption, infertility and coparenting. Additionally, Lea has attended trainings to integrate Emotion Focused Therapy and Gottman interventions into her work with couples and families.

As a person, Lea is attuned, genuine, accepting, and optimistic, which translates into her therapeutic approach. She brings a calm presence, intentionality and humor into the therapy space. With compassion and insight, she is dedicated to helping her clients overcome challenges, find healing, and lead meaningful and satisfying lives through the power of safe connections and therapeutic support.

Lea values time with her family enjoying outdoor activities such as hiking, gardening, yoga, camping, and exploring new parks or cities. Her love for culinary creativity and hosting family and friends showcases her warmth and hospitality.
