NEAL HOLMES

There are moments in life when things feel overwhelming, confusing, or stuck. Choosing to begin therapy is a courageous step, and it is my privilege to walk alongside you as you explore your story and discover new possibilities for healing and growth.

MEET NEAL:

Clients often describe my approach as warm, grounding, collaborative, and deeply affirming. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a genuine partnership. Together, we explore the patterns, experiences, and emotions that shape your life while creating space for new insight, self-compassion, and change.

I also work with individuals and couples who want to deepen emotional connection, sexual communication, and intimacy, approaching sex therapy from a perspective that is body-positive, affirming, and grounded in emotional safety.

My clinical work integrates approaches including trauma-informed therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Relational Cultural Therapy, Gestalt work, and psychodrama. Rather than applying a single method, I tailor therapy to your unique experiences and strengths.

  • Before joining Sun Point Wellness, I helped spearhead mental health programming at an LGBTQ community organization in Memphis, Tennessee. These experiences strengthened my commitment to addressing mental health disparities and creating spaces where people feel safe to show up authentically.

Originally trained in degrees in both literature and counseling, I believe deeply in the power of narrative. Many of the struggles we carry are connected to the stories we tell ourselves about who we are. In therapy, we work together to rewrite those narratives with greater compassion, clarity, and possibility.

Outside the therapy room, I recharge through movement, travel, writing, cooking for friends and family, and spending time with my dog, Bingo. I value curiosity, humor, and creativity as essential parts of healing and living fully.

Above all, my goal is to help clients feel seen, respected, and empowered to move toward the life they want to live.
