Post-Doctoral Fellow in Clinical Psychology

Satchel Pratt, Ph.D. Candidate

“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate" ~ Carl Jung

MEET SATCHEL:

Satchel Pratt is the inaugural Post-Doctoral Fellow in Clinical Psychology at the Sun Point Foundation. He is currently completing his Ph.D. in Psychology at Arizona State University, and he recently concluded his Pre-Doctoral Residency in Clinical Psychology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, with a major in Integrated Primary Care and minors in Clinical Neuropsychology. He has previous graduate training in Forensic Psychology from California State University, Los Angeles, and Counseling Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi. He attended the University of Southern California for undergraduate studies.

Satchel brings over nine years of experience providing evidence-based psychotherapy and four years of neuropsychological assessment work across diverse settings. His clinical background includes working in hospital-based primary care clinics, neuropsychology departments, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient units, pediatric concussion clinics, and forensic private practices. His approach is integrative and client-centered, drawing from cognitive-behavioral, neuropsychological, and trauma-informed modalities to help individuals make meaningful progress toward their goals.

  • Satchel is deeply committed to creating a therapeutic space that is warm, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity and respect. He works with clients across the lifespan and has a special interest in the intersection of mind-body health, chronic illness, and trauma. Satchel values empowering clients with tools, insight, and a greater sense of agency in their healing journey.

Outside of the therapy room, Satchel lives in Lancaster, Pennsylvania with his loving wife and two beautiful children. He’s an avid motorcyclist and cyclist who finds peace and presence on two wheels. With a creative soul and a background in acting and songwriting, Satchel continues to enjoy the arts—attending live theatre, opera, ballet, concerts, and gallery openings whenever he can. His favorite role of all, however, is being a present and playful dad. He believes that connection, humor, and authenticity are powerful forces—both in life and in therapy.
